Kansas ranks 25th in women's crowds

Kansas University ranked 25th nationally in women’s basketball attendance last season by averaging a school-record 4,109 fans a game.

KU’s average crowd was spiked by the Big 12-record 16,113 fans who witnessed the Jayhawks play South Florida in the WNIT championship game in Allen Fieldhouse.

Kansas ranked eighth in average Big 12 attendance behind Iowa State (9,754), Oklahoma (9,007), Texas Tech (8,576), Baylor (6,558), Texas (5,288), Texas A&M (5,256) and Kansas State (4,625).

Trailing the Jayhawks were Oklahoma State (3,258), Nebraska (3,211), Colorado (1,969) and Missouri (1,605).

More surprising than KU being 25th is having 8 schools in the top 25. I didn't know the B12 was such a hot bed for women's bb.

Yeah the Big XII is one of the best women's basketball conferences in the country. Our attendence will go up next year for women's basketball with so many of our starters returning from last years' team. It will be a fun season to watch.

How about publishing the Top 25 so we can see the rest of the country? This article is an example of way to narrow focus and laziness on the part of the writer! Poor and incomplete journalism. A link would eveb help and a reference to team and conference leadership..

These articles are to imply or ask a question and then provide a complete and hopefully a compelling answer/ This an example of a lazy writer (sic) that hacked this in in 5 minutes or less with no value added to the raw numbers!.

Lazy, or a writer that had a size limit due to space constraints of the printed version.

The BigXII is definitely the league for WBB. People have railed on the Ladies recently because they have started strong in non-con games, but "flopped" when it came to conf games. The ignorance in the thought is that the majority of the league is ranked, and 2/3rd's of the teams make the dance.

Bonnie definitely has the team headed in the right direction, and this coming season should be exciting with most of the NIT runner-ups returning and a healthy Ms Goodrich.
