Kansas University’s Maria Martinez won her singles match and teamed with Kunigunda Dorn for a doubles victory at the Jayhawk Invitational on Friday at First Serve Tennis Center. KU sophomore Alessandra Dzuba also notched a singles victory.
The Jayhawk Invitational will continue at 9 a.m. today and is free to the public.
Also Friday, in Norman, Okla., the KU team of Erin Wilbert and Victoria Khanevskaya defeated Saint Louis, 8-6, and sophomore Ekaterina Morozova and freshman Sara Lazarevic defeated Wichita State, 8-3, at the ITA Regionals.
Lazarevic also picked up two singles victories.
