Texas coach Rick Barnes' comment taken out of context
25 points in the first half, on the road in his only visity to Allen Fieldhouse....I'd say the freshman Durant knew what he was doing and was light years beyond his age.

KU basketball notebook
okjhok-agreed. None of our players win this year. Sherron and Cole both went through bad stretches this season on national television.

Jayhawks survive another close call
Shaw-
Pony up $10/year for your own website. Really, it's pretty cheap.
Then we can all come visit your site when we actually give two cents about your 8,000 word opinion. In the meantime, we'lll all continue to ward off carpel tunnel scrolling through your postings.
To quote Bill Self prior to the title game in 08'; "thank you in advance"

Weighty words
Reminds me of Cole getting to come in and play/learn behind Darnell, Darrell, and Sasha. Wealth of talent, who could learn during his freshman year. I like the scenario.

Stuckey, by the book
Type of player who deserves every accolade he receives, he's earned it. I predict several game changing plays this year, as he's the star on that side of the ball. Best of luck this year and beyond Mr. Stuckey.

Injured Jayhawks making progress
The real problem, no surprise here, is the the NCAA. They are a complete joke. Their rules are outdated, the book is bigger then a dictionary, and they hide behind their Non-Profit status and hypocritical "student athlete BS". Hate'em. They operate almost like an organized crime family. Step in their way, and they will crush you one way or another.

Langford hitting his stride overseas
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't KL have microfracture surgery after his SR year? Didn't he come out and say that awhile ago? Isn't one a biggie? Watch highlights of his JR/SR year and he was a shell of the player with half as much explosion as when he was a Freshman. Kirk is in the league because he has consistent jumper, just like everyone else. You don't make the league with out a jump shot. Period. That said, he's still my #1 favorite hawk ever. Loved to watch him play; tons of passion for the game.

Pierce not the same player?
PP is a Hall of Famer. Ben Gordan is another one dimensional scorer who has yet to leave his mark on any team. Why do you think he's been stuck with the Bulls all these years? No one else ever wants his overpriced contract for so little in return.

3 steps to ruling Big 12 and contending for No. 1 seed
Do you really think Collins will have "motivation to finish his career on high note"? That's the dumbest assumption i've ever read. Did he hint that to you in an interview recently?
Fact is, Collins has a national championship and was a MAJOR contributor. I'm confident guaranteed money in the NBA will help him feel "ok" about jumping to the NBA.

Self: Marcus deserved technical, not benching
I'm still laughing at the fans storming the court. Seriously, that is so funny.
