Jesse, thanks for a fantastic interview with a player. Priceless tidbits of information, and also a glimpse of how bright and articulate these young representatives-of-KU are, as well as a peek at their inner motivations and passions. Would love to see such an article on each of them. For example, I learned Mario Little was on the Dean's List his senior year of high school, so I am curious for what exact reason he chose a juco instead of some D1 program? (doesnt seem to be academic reasons, but I have no data...) Thanks again--strong work! RCJH!
Bruce Feldman, senior writer with ESPN The Magazine, recently wrote an article, College football's top workout warriors. No KU players made the top 10, but Arist Wright, Kansas, LB & Jake Sharp, Kansas, RB just missed the cut.
What are the chances that we see a similar article about KU players? Would Wright and Sharp finish at the top of the list after an internal investigation?
Jesse, thanks for giving us good Jayhawks Flashbacks. It reminds me of the game, played in the Field house with the visiting OSU on 5 March 1995. In that game the OSU All-American 'big country' Reeves was held to 0 point, and Ostertag was a factor. You may want to write on that game too.
Jesse, Do you ever get stats on the distribution of plays/game for members of the OL & DL? It seems like they are rotating players a lot more this year than in the past. I'm hoping that it is a matter of the overall quality being better, but guessing that it really pays off down the road late in games against quality conference opponents.
I thought the play of both was the most encouraging part of the UTEP game. It will be nteresting to see what that 4.? stat from UNC is for this game. Already know I love the increased # of sacks.
