Teahan flirts with football future

Except for Bian Luke, I don't ever remember KU ever having a tall QB. I guess Douglas was 6.3" though, wasn't he?

KU football strengthens connections in Florida

I don't think we were as aware of the offers during the Mangino era. Is this because Mangino's philosophy was to offer later or is this coaching staff just more aggressive? It looks like this coaching staff is conceding no recruits.

KU football returns to ESPN in 2010

Agree with all of the above except leikness, whom I seldom agree with. I think Pick will be a very good QB and we certainly have the personnel to run the ball this year. Defense, as usual, is the big question mark for KU. I think we have the players to have a winning year, although the non-con schedule is the toughest we have had for years.

I will be making the trip to Hattiesburg!

KU offensive coordinator facing lawsuit in California

Anybody can sue anybody over almost anything and the lawyers that take these kind of cases are usually looking for a settlement. Filing a suet does not prove guilt, but lawyers have learned that if they write a few letters, big bucks can roll in with minimal effort on their part, especially when suing a deep pocket like a state or a university system. Trying to compare this to the Mangino fiasco is a bit of a stretch. Mangino is behind us now and most of us on this site are tired of hearing from those who won't let it drop.

Austin QB commits to Red Raiders

It seems to me that this coaching staff is being much more aggressive in getting after the talent. I hope this assumption is correct. If so, with the school finally prioritizing the FB program and with the new FB facilities, we have the realistic expectation of landing more 4-star and 5-star players. Here's hoping.

Obviously, we fans are hungry for football news, even during a BB season where our BB team is excelling. This is an indication of a sleeping giant. Fans who have learned to be vocal and rabid at BB games will be of the same demeanor at FB games, especially if the team excels.

Gill settling in

Spring game is 4-24-10 at 1 PM.

Osborn is getting up there in age. He won't be the AD at NU much longer.

Here's hoping that Gill is successful enough to be sought by other universities.

Jayhawks to move Quigley to running back again in 2010

I have always been an Angus fan. This guy is a punishing runner and has pretty good speed. He is definitely a running back and should be used as a running back and not a blocking back. He is one of those guys that got in Mangino's doghouse and never got out. It all goes back to the TU game two years ago when he fumbled twice, and one of those was iffy. He also delivered a knockout blow to a TU D-back in that game. Given a chance, this guy could be an outstanding running back and is definitely good enough to start.

KU football uniforms to change in 2010

Why in the heck is everyone getting so excited. A true fan knows the numbers of the players. Without the names, the numbers are bigger and easier to see. The helmets are fine. It's all about TEAM. To get TEAM, a coach sends many messages. This is a small one.
